Subaru Starlink App Greyed Out

The aa app remains greyed out. Today as i was driving i plugged in my phone to use carplay but it remained grayed out.

I get nothing on screen in the app.

Subaru starlink app greyed out. Subaru android auto greyed out trying to use androud auto but the buttons on the cars screen are grayed out and cant use favorites, dial pad, phonebook etc. Log in or sign up to leave a comment log in sign up. Being cloud based, you use your own data allowance. I have a 2018 premium, an iphone x, i installed the subaru starlink app on my cellphone, not mysubaru, but subaru starlink app. So it’s always greyed out in my car.

Usb is the only connection used by androidauto (and carplay) in the subaru system. 1 android auto is available for newly purchased vehicles and stereos, and may be offered as a standard or optional feature. (subaru starlink has an extreamely low customer rating on google play.

Now go to the developer options and enable usb debugging. Magellan nav is supposedly one of them. You’ll find them clunky and broken for the most part.

My android auto has worked from day 1. First look up how to enable developer options on your phone. Putt is enough to drive me crazy.

I found this while looking up this common problem on other cars. For models with the starlink system • press and hold down the audio system power knob for at least 10 seconds. I play with them and starlink shows a number of added apps, but android auto has only google map and a poor phone app.

I've tried all the tips in this thread,but the starlink still doesn't open aa when his phone is connected. Spoke to the salesman about the issue and luckily found a solution!
